Controller Display

Hi everyone, here’s what changed in the last 2 weeks:

🐛 Bug fixes

  • Dragging a card to hand no longer flips it: Previously, dragging a card into your hand always had the server flip it face up, no matter how you were holding it. Now it keeps whatever state it was in while being dragged.
  • Spectators can’t touch anything during setup: In game setup mode, spectators can no longer trigger interactions even on the client (previously items could move locally even though the server rejected it).
  • Items can no longer land in the wrong place: A coin can no longer end up on top of a deck of cards, for example. Mixing item types is now blocked.
  • Table scroll limits no longer get stuck.
  • The party no longer ends while the display is connected: If the display is connected, the server no longer ends the party early.
  • Returning a single card to the box no longer drags the whole deck with it.

Improvements

  • Cards stay hidden above the hand while sorting: Rearranging the cards in your hand no longer flashes them on the table. They stay hidden above the hand automatically.
  • Opponent name shows on hover: Hovering over or selecting the opponent’s bar switches the game title to their name.
  • Toolbar follows the hand: The top/bottom toolbar position now automatically follows where the hand sits.
  • Consistent hand-switch animations: The timing of hand-switch animations is now consistent.
  • Select before you can move: You can no longer move items right away. You have to select them first, which prevents accidentally dragging something by mistake.
  • Secondary hand strip: Selected items show in a secondary strip, so you can navigate elsewhere on the table and then drag items from that strip.
  • Fullscreen view for multiple items too: Fullscreen view is now available with multiple items selected as well. You can page between them with a sideways swipe or the arrow keys.
